Weekend at Home

I went home last weekend and had a very nice weekend. There wasn't a real reason why I went home. I did need to get stuff for my spring break trip to Honduras, but I also just wanted a relaxing weekend at home.

It worked out well that it was my dad's birthday so when I got home on Friday night I went out to dinner with my parents and their friends Kris and Jerry. It was also Jerry's birthday on Friday. It was an enjoyable meal and I was of course entertained by all of the adults. I didn't really want to be the 5th wheel, but it ended up not being so bad. I also went to Pakoda's (a steakhouse in town) for the first time and it was pretty good food.

On Saturday I spent the whole day doing homework and watching The Voice. I am now pretty much caught up on that, but sadly I probably won't be able to watch the rest of the season, because I'm usually too busy with homework for tv watching. I ended up being really productive on Saturday, which I needed to do. I also watched the ISU basketball game with my mom and dad. I hadn't watched any of the games this season and the men have been doing really well so it was exciting to watch the game and see them come out with a win.

Sunday I went to church, ate lunch, and then did some laundry. I also found the things I needed for spring break and then did a little more homework before heading back to Des Moines.

It was a great weekend and I was glad to spend it at home with my parents. It was a little strange to not have any siblings at home, but still good. I also enjoyed that my mom made me some treats to take back to school as well as the home-cooked meals that I got!
