I am so thankful for the DG Bible study. I'm glad it's given me the opportunity to grow closer to some of my sisters in the house that I'm not sure I would have if we weren't all interested in growing in our relationship with God. This week past Sunday we had a great study. We started off watching a NOOMA video and then got talking about some great stuff.
I'm so grateful for these group of women that we can really talk about what's going on in our lives. How we're feeling, what struggles we've had recently, what's been exciting in our lives, etc. It's so nice to have a group of people that I can feel comfortable talking with and also be real, raw, and honest.
I think that our conversation was just that on Sunday. We all really shared what is going on in our lives and also realized that we are really all in similar places. I think a lot of times the Devil likes to make us think that we are the only ones going through this and no one else would understand. But when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable with each other then we can see that everyone deals with a lot of the same stuff. We're all college-aged women trying to figure out our paths in life, all busy being involved in a sorority, etc.
Again I'm just so thankful that:
1. I decided to join a sorority 4 years ago, I had no idea how much of an impact it would have on my college experience and the life-long friends I would make
2. That Beth Ann decided to start the Bible Study my sophomore year
3. To know that we've continued the study and also all of the great women that have been coming this year
I've truly loved how my sorority life and "Christian" life have blended together so well these past 2 years. I also can't wait to see what kinds of thing we'll talk about for the remainder of the semester and really hope that we can continue to be vulnerable with each other.
